Meet
Cynthia Bluett.

Mediator & FDRP

Cynthia was admitted as a solicitor in 1989. She became an Accredited Specialist in Family Law in 2009 and now sits on the NSW Law Society Advisory Committee for the Specialist Accreditation program. In 2023 and 2024, she was recognised by Doyle’s guide as a Recommended Family Law Mediator in NSW.

For almost 20 years, Cynthia worked at one of Sydney’s leading family law firms, Pearson Emerson Family Lawyers. Throughout that tenure, she practiced as a collaborative lawyer and gained accreditation as a Mediator. She has mediated in non-lawyer and lawyer assisted mediations and also conducted mediations referred through the NSW Law Society panel.

Cynthia’s extensive work in family law has exposed her to all facets of family breakdown and she has acted in complex financial cases, parenting cases that have included adoption and surrogacy, child support matters and applications for Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders. She has supervised, trained and mentored Senior Associates, junior lawyers, paralegals and support staff and has a reputation for being kind, approachable and knowledgeable.

Cynthia has a passion for dispute resolution and her experience, knowledge and background, combined with her dispute resolution qualifications, make her a highly proficient mediator and collaborative practitioner.

Cynthia was excellent. The mediation ran smoothly and Cynthia conducted it efficiently and sensibly. I have been recommending Cynthia to other colleagues.

This was my first mediation with Cynthia and she was very impressive. The mediation was very well structured and Cynthia was very kind and considerate toward my client.

Everything about booking with separation solutions is so easy and it always puts the client at ease that everything is handled so professionally.

Thank you.
